Project Overview

Project Overview

As part of Klanglicht – Festival of Sound and Vision, we, as a team of master students, transformed the Antonius Church in Graz into an immersive media experience. Under the title Spektrum, we explored sound and light as material to express diversity, contrast and emotional range.

Challenge

Challenge

The task was to design an installation that fills a sacred architectural space with light and sound, creating an experience that feels both artistic and deeply immersive. We needed to merge different media disciplines into one coherent narrative environment.

  3. Collaboration:

Teams from communication, media, sound, and interaction design worked together across disciplines.

Solution

Solution

Spektrum created a multi-sensory installation where church walls became projection canvases and sound filled the space. The interplay of color, light, and audio created shifting atmospheres, inviting visitors to explore emotional and perceptual ranges.
